Rotaract Club at UTSA, Rotary District 5840

The Rotaract Club at UTSA is a business-oriented community service organization that is dedicated to service, leadership, and professional development. In addition to numerous service projects, we offer a wide variety of professional development opportunities, such as guest speakers and workshops, geared towards a broad range of majors and vocational fields. Some of our past guest speakers have included Texas Representative Joaquin Castro and CEOs of local businesses.

This organization was originally established by the San Antonio Stone Oak Rotary Club and revived in the fall of 2010 by the former president, Jeremy Herrero, under the sponsorship of our advisor, Evaristo Hinojosa, and the San Antonio Dominion Rotary Club. Our mission is to inspire students to serve their communities and actively seek collective change.

Rotaract constituents come from a variety of backgrounds, ethnicities, ages, nationalities, and religions, which gives our organization the advantage of multiple perspectives and approaches to education and philanthropy. Because we are closely affiliated with Rotarians and community leaders, members have exceptional opportunities to meet professionals in their prospective vocational fields and build their professional networks.
